Role Overview

Genus PLC has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a dedicated Finance Process Specialist to spearhead our efforts to document our finance processes in support of our ongoing finance transformation. This is a 6-month contract position with a possibility for extension and is located in our DeForest, WI office and hybrid work is an option. The successful candidate will focus on engaging with internal stakeholders to ensure that process documentation is comprehensive and reflect current practices.

 

This role offers you the opportunity to work across multiple initiatives within the company, ensuring alignment with process optimization and controls projects. You will be involved in documenting end-to-end processes across finance to an activity and task level. This will support consistency and understanding of how processes operate and provide a basis for future standardization, collaborative work and staff training.

You Will

  • Lead collaboration with internal stakeholders to understand and document process steps, activities and tasks. Leverage existing documentation, including narratives and process flows, and capture end-to-end finance processes down to activity and task level.
  • Provide a solid foundation for future standardization, collaborative working, and staff training. Identify opportunities for standardization and streamlining and share these with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to keep our documentation current and impactful.
  • Understand the impact of any potential changes on the company’s controls framework and work closely with colleagues to ensure key controls are accurately reflected within the process documentation.
  • Support management in preparing materials and reporting for key stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Ensure delivery of project tasks and outcomes to the agreed scope, time, cost, and quality criteria.
  • Lead initiatives as part of a global team to continuously improve Genus’s finance processes.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Occasional travel based on business need.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or professional qualification in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.
  • Proven experience in finance processes, process documentation and mapping down to detailed activity and task level
  • Strong knowledge of process design plus risk and control topics
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using flowcharting and other relevant software packages.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
