Role Overview

We are looking for a sales administrator with a background or penchant for marketing

As one of our three sales administrators, you will develop an in-depth knowledge of our products. 

You'll need to be flexible: on a daily basis you will process and pack orders, close sales and up-sell, troubleshoot technical queries, and ensure that customer records are kept up to date   

You will be the first point of contact for our customers and build long term relationships with them

You'll manage the full sales life cycle for our customers including mailing out the products to them

If you have some agricultural background this would be advantageous but not a pre-requisite for the role, just being able to communicate with our customers is important

You will also assist the marketing team in updating the website (basic changes, training will be given)

 

This role is a part time role circa 10 hours per week ideally Monday and Tuesday

 

We attend Agricultural shows and although there is no requirement to attend, they are great fun and a chance to meet the customers face to face

You Will

  • Receive sales orders : telephone, e-mail, web
  • Produce sales invoices and process sales orders from customers via telephone, email and web shop for daily dispatch.
  • Pack and dispatch sales orders for daily postal collection
  • Answer customer enquiries:  giving advice and guidance on product selection plus offering technical support
  • Liaise with customers to ensure timely settlement of their accounts.
  • Manage customer database, input new records and update existing records.
  • Printing and distributing mail-outs to customers and customer communications.
  • Assist with business development projects when required.
  • Receive, screen and distribute incoming phone calls and emails to colleagues.

Requirements

  • Experience of account management, sales, or business development, preferably in the agriculture industry.
  • Understanding of agricultural practices, products, and technologies.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of agricultural trends and the ability to leverage this knowledge for client solutions.
  • Previous sales experience
  • Results-oriented with a focus on driving revenue growth.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.
  • Effective time management, organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels
  • The ability to work under their own initiative
