Role Overview

This is a fixed term contract.

Accountable for delivering Farm Consultancy services, managing projects, and ensuring team profitability across the UK, with a strong focus on a client-first approach.
 

 

Responsible for conducting regular customer assessments and gathering client feedback to drive continuous service improvement to retain existing clients and create future growth.  

 

Attract, retain, develop and motivate the team members under your supervision. Work closely and collaboratively with other teams and managers across the Promar business. 

You Will

COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE  

  • Budget and P&L supervision for the Farm Consultancy teams  

  • To review client days and recognise sales from over servicing & under charging 

  • To maintain existing client bases 

  • To support sales and income targets set on an annual basis 

  • Work with the MD to set, implement and successfully deliver a growth strategy for Farm Consultancy 

  • Lead on the Farm Consultancy element in all contract tender submissions 

  • Take a leading role in contract management for any corporate clients receiving Farm Consultancy services 

 

EFFICIENT WORKING AND QUALITY STANDARDS. 

  • Set and achieve targets for Sales, Retention and Project work in a timely fashion 

  • Set and achieve standards for quality control and errors 

  • Achieve a low level of customer complaints 

  • Engage with customers to ensure their needs are met 

  • Work with partner agencies and suppliers to continuously improve the products and services offered to clients 

  • Embrace and roll out technology where appropriate to improve efficiency and modernisation of products and services 

  • Ensure the Farm Consultancy Team adheres to compliance standards for Anti Money-Laundering, Data Protection and other standards as may be required in accordance with UK legislation and internal policy 

 

TEAM MOTIVATION AND CAPABILITY 

  • To manage the personal development & career plans of the Farm Consultancy Team Leaders, and to support them in managing these for their teams. 

  • To successfully recruit employees in a prompt & timely manner and support them to achieve their targets 

  • Contribute to improving operating processes by allowing team members to contribute ideas and by communicating best practice 

Requirements

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure to achieve set deadlines. 

  • Work consistently to a high standard with attention to detail & quality.  

  • Solution-orientated with a pioneering attitude to inspire others 

  • Demonstrate strong leadership characteristics 

  • Excellent communication skills necessary for building relationships within the regional teams, wider Promar teams & and external customers. 

  • A desire to lead and motivate a successful team to achieve set goals with the ability to work under their own initiative, unsupervised and to make decisions in the best interest of the team 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills 

  • An agricultural consulting qualification or experience is highly desirable
