Role Overview

ABS Global, a Genus Company, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist.

This position is responsible for identifying, leading, and coaching process improvement initiatives across the organization. Reporting to the Global CI & QA Manager, this role contributes to building a culture of operational excellence by applying Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies. This role partners with cross functional teams to embed CI principles, build capability, and sustain improvements aligned with strategic business goals.

The position is located in our Deforest, WI office and hybrid work is an option.

 

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $98,000 USD. The salary provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

You Will

Continuous Improvement Execution & Coaching

  • Partner with teams to identify improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
    Facilitate kaizen events, A3 problem solving sessions, and use tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, and PDCA to analyze and improve processes.
  • Coach and train employees on Lean TPS principles, CI tools, and best practices to building internal capability.
  • Support the development and deployment of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

 

Data & Performance Management

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, validate improvements, and measure ROI.
  • Track and report CI initiative progress, key performance indicators (KPIs), business impact using standard CI governance tools.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of CI dashboards and reporting mechanisms.

Collaboration & Influence

  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, QA and other functions to align CI efforts with business priorities.
  • Support CI governance framework by contributing to standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Influence teams to adopt CI practices through facilitation, coaching, and change management.
  • Safety statement:

Requirements

Basic Qualifications: (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, business, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a CI, Lean, or process improvement role.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies; certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the organization.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in manufacturing, lab, or operational environments preferred.
