Role Overview

The District Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, profitability, and long-term customer partnerships within Southeast Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and a portion of Virginia. This role promotes and sells a portfolio of technical and non-technical products, services, and solutions to existing and prospective customers. The District Account Manager builds strong customer relationships, develops tailored genetic and reproductive strategies, and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver an exceptional and profitable customer experience.

Extensive travel is required based on territory coverage.

You Will

 

Sales & Account Management

  • Drive sales development, growth, and profitability of targeted accounts.
  • Create, monitor, and adjust sales and lead-generation plans to maintain a strong opportunity pipeline.
  • Increase market share by developing new accounts and expanding existing accounts into long-term, profitable partnerships.

Customer Partnership & Strategy

  • Sell to and manage relationships with new and existing partnership segment accounts by delivering excellent service.
  • Act as a strategic partner to customers by developing tailored genetic and reproductive strategies aligned with customer goals.
  • Inform customers of new product and service introductions, pricing, and solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate District Sales Managers (DSM), Technical Service, GMS, and third-party resources on behalf of the customer to maximize value and profitability.
  • Work closely with district and internal teams to utilize resources effectively and efficiently.

Professional Representation

  • Develop and maintain professional, effective relationships with management, employees, sales representatives, and customers.
  • Represent ABS Global in a manner consistent with company objectives, values, and image.

Continuous Improvement & Leadership

  • Work independently with minimal guidance while exercising sound judgment based on multiple sources of information.
  • Solve complex problems using existing and new approaches.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead projects with manageable risk and resources.
  • Continually develop skills and assume greater responsibility within the role and organization.

Safety & Compliance

  • Support a healthy and safe work environment by adhering to company safety rules, policies, and guidelines.
  • If issued a company vehicle, operate it safely and responsibly in accordance with company policy.

 

Requirements

Education and Experience (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related industry
  • Experience effectively setting and managing toward a sales plan

Licenses/Certifications

  • Valid driver’s license required

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong computer and technology skills
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Superior listening skills and demonstrated ability to influence and problem-solve
  • Self-sufficient with the ability to see tasks and responsibilities through to completion
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Must be able to safely lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds as required for job duties
