Genus Company has an excited opportunity. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Officer (remote) to join our team and support the collection, analysis, and reporting of farm business data across the agricultural sector.
In this field-based role, you will work directly with farmers and agricultural businesses to gather financial and operational information, conduct interviews, and produce accurate annual farm business accounts that contribute to industry research and benchmarking.
As a trusted point of contact for farmers, you will build strong relationships while gaining a deep understanding of farm business management, agricultural practices, land use, and environmental activities. The role combines data analysis, client interaction, and regular travel to farms and farm business offices throughout your assigned region.
This position is ideal for someone with a passion for agriculture, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. As you develop within the role, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities, including mentoring new colleagues, supporting farm recruitment efforts, and contributing to regional sector reports and research initiatives.
