Are you looking for an career opportunity working outdoors? Join Genus ABS Northern GB Service Team as a Reproductive Managment Specialist, supporting local farmers with 500+ cows across Penrith and Carlisle.

This position partners with experienced Reproductive Management Specialists to deliver service solutions to dairy and beef farmers. Your working day will mostly be made up of pre-planned, routine farm visits to farmers requiring your skills and expertise to improve the cow fertility on farm. Previous livestock experience is not essential, our team of skilled professionals will provide you with the learning and development opportunities to excel at your job. If this is your first reproductive management position, your initial training programme will take up to three months to complete. • Visit customer farms to heat-detect cows and analyse computer records before artificially inseminating (AI) the appropriate animals
• Support the farm team to improve fertility within the herd; producing healthier and more productive cows to meet the business goals
• Work with team members to provide outstanding customer service and animal health and welfare; increasing customer loyalty to Genus ABS' products and services
• Make informed decisions based on the genetic plan, animal behaviour and data you have available; identifying solutions and presenting recommendations to improve your personal and team performance

• Full clean driving license
• Availability to work a varied shift pattern (Monday to Sunday) alternating with your team members, starting early in the morning (average 9.5 hour working day)

This position is great for an entry into animal genetics or an advancement in your skillset - the salary will depend upon your knowledge, skill and experience in reproductive (AI) services.
