Role Overview

This position will be responsible for supporting continuous production operations through the maintenance and upkeep of highly advanced proprietary machinery. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Specific Accountabilities:  

  • Keeps equipment operating at peak efficiency by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and leveraging distance support for complex calls. 
  • Ensures timely and accurate execution and documentation of preventative maintenance.  
  • Leads troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis, ensuring that repairs are conducted in a timely, organized, and well documented manner. 
  • Manages ready spares and parts inventory to ensure that equipment remains operational at all times. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects with the manufacturing team in the areas of safety, quality and throughput. 
  • Support multiple internal process teams in a cohesive environment; provide real time response to support those teams 
  • Identify nonconforming product, contribute to root cause failures, and disposition of product to engineering and/or customer specifications; may support and confer with vendors in determining product specifications, best industry practices, materials, and evaluating products to customer specifications 
  • Ability to support a flexible schedule to meet the needs of production support and preventative maintenance execution. 
  • Ability to travel roughly 50% of the time either internationally or domestically.


Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical qualifications in electrical/mechanical engineering. 
  • Experience in service and maintenance of complex equipment in a production setting. 
  • Previous experience with advanced medical or laboratory instrumentation highly preferred. 
  • Working knowledge of and ability to test, troubleshoot and repair optical, electronic, and fluidic systems. 
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  
  • Excellent organizational skills.
