Role Overview

Genus Plc is recruiting a Global Payroll Process and Project Lead to support expansion.


We are seeking a Human Resources professional with multi-country Payroll and project experience.


You will be a critical member of the HR Shared Services team. The team will rely on you to transform processes, manage projects and develop governance standards. Therefore, experience in operational and technical payroll processes is advantageous.


Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you have the opportunity to work from home (remotely) or hybrid from the Genus PIC US Head Quarters in HendersonvilleTennessee 37075.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead critical global operations projects, starting with Payroll transformation
  • Lead and drive program methodology on large-scale projects and linked dependencies to meet transformation roadmap goals, including plans, deliverables, and resourcing needs.
  • Manage identification of Payroll and compliance risks and issues, escalate where appropriate and find solutions to overcome
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across HR Shared Services and Payroll functional areas to provide program framework direction and enterprise-wide status updates
  • Partner with payroll consultants and ADP to implement processes to manage compliance
  • Critically review and analyze current payroll processes to provide recommendations and solutions to management for opportunities to streamline and further automate existing processes
  • Evaluate and analyze existing Payroll policies, procedures, and business processes to improve operations and ensure auditable documentation of all functions
  • Partner with HR and benefits team to handle employee payroll issues 
  • Drive continuous process improvement by understanding customer needs and collaborating with stakeholders on designing new solutions that enhance business performance and achieve established goals
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks or obstacles with minimal direction and determine appropriate solutions for successful customer delivery
  • Create and contribute to business requirements documents, detailed functional specification documents, analysis of change, customer impact, test plans, test cases, user training documents, and implementation documentation


  • Proven experience in Human Resources and Payroll experience (minimum 5 years)
    • Multi-country payroll experience
    • In-depth knowledge of HR and payroll principles and practices
  • Professional competence in the English language with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage various complex projects; analytical and solution-orientated approach to work
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
