Product Management Specialist

Genus PLC has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Product Management Specialist to develop and oversee marketing initiatives for multiple products and/or product categories. The position is located in our Deforest, WI office and hybrid/remote work will be considered for the right candidate. The Product Management Specialist has primary accountability for researching market requirements, identifying opportunities for product improvement, and developing marketing strategies to effectively manage the product’s lifecycle. The Product Management Specialist will collaborate with sales teams and customers to define product requirements and coordinate product introductions and updates.

• Serve as an internal point person supporting Canada 50% and US regions 50% with product management including tacking of inventory, placing orders, ensuring orders are filled, and product-related activities.
• Monitor and allocate inventory to ensure adequate product levels and availability to ABS NA commercial team and customers.
• Communicate and address specific price, availability needs and product changes to satisfy market demand and retain most revenue to internal teams.
• Effectively and efficiently create or update pertinent and accurate dairy and beef on dairy marketing materials while making them available in a timely manner.
• Maintain and create efficiencies with product data within system capabilities and procedures, including changing system prices, set up and maintain inventory records accurately and timely.
• Understanding genetic needs in Canada and strategize strategic approach to market with Sales leaders.
• Educate and discuss purchase interests and/or purchase decisions/issues with internal/external customers.
• Work with multiple departments within product process including; Production, Product development, Customer Service, Distribution and Finance to ensure efficiency and accuracy of product availability and sales process.

• Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours.
• Performs other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications: (required)
• Minimum of 2 year degree or Bachelor degree in business related field with agricultural (preferred)
• 1-3 years company experience specifically exposed to daily system and dairy marketing information and strategy observation.
• Proficient in computer programs (Windows), excellent written, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• Sales, customer service and system experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of marketing information, and agricultural dairy industry knowledge preferred
