Role Overview

PIC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Genus, has an exciting opportunity! We are looking for an energetic Global Strategy Senior Manager to help review, analyze, and set global strategy as well as track industry trends, evaluate market opportunities, and support PIC’s leadership team in executing those strategies. This position works with management across Genus, the parent company, and PIC to methodically review the Company’s strategic priorities, setting clear and measurable goals, and helping management to complete initiatives and achieve targets. The Global Strategy Senior Manager also supports the evaluation of new business development opportunities and facilitates reviews as necessary by Genus executives and the Board of Directors.

 

The successful candidate is a critical thinker with the ability to analyze data, possibilities, solutions, and trade-offs as well as a big-picture innovator who can identify opportunities and is comfortable with ambiguity. The GSM takes ownership, has strong collaboration skills, and is a clear and influential communicator who builds effective relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. You must be able to work in a work in a fast-pace environment.

 

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the PIC Global Finance Director but works closely with the broader PIC Leadership Team and the Genus Corporate Strategy team. This role is based in our Hendersonville, TN office. Remote and hybrid work will be considered for the right candidate.  Relocation assistance is available. 

 

You Will

  • Lead the development of the PIC’s long-term global strategy with input from key stakeholders from across all regions and functions.
  • Lead regional and commercial managers through regular market opportunity reviews by assessing industry trends, competitive dynamics, analyses of strengths/weaknesses/opportunities/threats, and partnerships opportunities.
  • Assist with developing presentations, business proposals, and white papers with cost and benefit analyses for review with the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
  • Advise business leaders by providing strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities.
  • Work in collaboration with other business leaders to drive decisions based on data, financial modeling, facts, and analytical findings across the organization.
  • Lead and execute ad-hoc strategy projects involving market research, external consultants, and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Uphold the Genus / PIC core values, mission, and vision.
  • Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours, domestic and international travel.
  • Performs other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or other applicable degree program
  • 7-10 years experience including
    • 3 years experience in management or strategic consulting role with a global firm
    • Experience working in a global matrix environment.
    • Previous strategy, SWOT analysis, and business/financial modeling experience.
    • Proven ability to perform complex analysis, with great attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated track record working with C-suite executives as well as global operating partners.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Valid Passport with the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15%
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
