Role Overview

Reporting – Regional Technical Services Sr. Manager PIC Europe.

Based in Lipetsk or Central part Russia.

 

This position will be responsible for developing and leading a regional technical team (direct reports across our European business region) that ensures customers realize the benefit of the genetic potential of PIC products.  This position will work with both the regional business and senior technical leadership team to grow, develop, and lead a team of technical experts ranging from scientific discipline thought leaders (i.e. Nutrition, Reproduction, Meats, etc.) to production management experts in our efforts to develop, document and deliver implementable knowledge that helps PIC customers be the most successful producers in the world.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a team of high performing technical experts focused on maximizing customer success.
  • Actively engage and align with regional business teams to identify and deliver on business initiatives.
  • Work with customers mainly in Russia to help insure PIC product performance.
  • Monitor performance levels and help establish and respond to performance opportunities targeted by PIC commercial customers.
  • Help develop and leverage training tools and marketing material that can be used in customer systems, including the development of relevant performance and financial benchmarking.
  • Ensure successful implementation and standardization of recommendations and troubleshooting.
  • Measure and report progress to customers and account teams.
  • Provide management or oversight of collaborative technical projects as needed.
  • Present recommendations, results and experience gained to broad and diverse audiences.
  • Develop and increase the utilization of new tools and expanding technology to leverage the impact of individual contributors to greater numbers of customers and production units.
  • Make every effort to see that the company maintains good standards of conduct in dealing with customers, employees and allied industry in matters relating to social, professional, and ethical expectations and obligations.
  • Support the sales and supply chain teams with regular technical updates and tailored customer service plans.
  • Help customers realize the genetic potential of PIC products.
  • Ensure PIC Biosecurity protocols are adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure standards of conduct in dealing with customers, employees and allied industry in matters relating to social, professional, and ethical obligations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated levels of success in impacting commercial pork production and the pork value chain with at least 7 years of experience within contemporary swine production systems; advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a diverse team of professionals in a solutions-based environment.
  • A thorough understanding of swine production practices and corresponding economics in various system designs
  • Analytical capabilities to link production data with interventions needed to improve customer system performance.
  • Capacity to develop relevant recommendations and train the appropriate audience.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written in English, additional language skill beneficial.
  • Ability to work and lead effectively in a global matrix organization.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally approximately 50% of the time
