Role Overview

This role will manage Mexico business at a country level and in alignment with regional leadership. Develop and executive ABS strategy in Mexico, in alignment with Company priorities and regional objectives, leading the team with strong sense of ownership. Will be responsable for Mexico P&L, growth metrics and overall business results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

On a daily basis, the main tasks are:

  • Responsibility for growth metrics, P&L as defined at the country level.
  • Executive ABS strategy in Mexico. 
  • Oversight commercial activities.
  • Building a high performing organization, with a sustained focus on the customer and a high focus on profitability, in compliance with quality standards and with Genus’s corporate values and code of conduct.
  • Leading operations first-hand with a strong sense of the business.
  • Actively participate in the definition of digital initiatives and first-hand execution.
  • Coordinating with the broader Latam Team to ensure functional and business integration inside the region, as well as globally.
  • Attract, coach, mentor and develop a talented leadership team. Deliver upon the business objectives, motivate and mentor the existing team, create a compelling vision by instilling confidence in the team and generate a sense of energy and excitement with the strategy of the business.
  • Communicate and effectively work with HQ.

Requirements

  • Proven commercial director experience with broad business responsibilities & P&L ownership.
  • Agribusiness experience, ideally in the genetic space and dairy business.
  • Strategic prowess: able to devise new strategies and Business models.
  • Commercial savviness: able to farm key accounts and to interact with agent structure.
  • Exposure to and sensitivity towards digitalization initiatives, especially around sales.
  • Ability to operate in a matrix organization.
  • Track record in LATAM, ideally in Mexico.
  • Fluent in oral and reading English.
