Technical Servcies Supervisor

Genus ABS are recruiting for a Team Leader- Reproduction Management Services to supervise a team of 10 Reproductive Management Technicians in Northern Ireland. The Team Leader will report to the Regional Service Manager and will lead and develop their team to deliver animal genetic products and services to customer farms daily.  They will be field-based and travel to dairy and beef producing farms to support the team to deliver the Genus ABS strategy.

• Set priorities and supervise the team daily to ensure tasks are completed to Genus ABS standards; recruit, develop, motivate and retain individuals
• Drive to set higher standards and develop solutions to achieve results; lead and execute genetic reviews and quality control checks to build loyalty to Genus ABS products and services
• Develop a deep understanding of the market and act as One Team with colleagues from other departments to develop and execute simple, deliverable plans
• Anticipate and respond quickly to changes, analyse opportunities an embed change to drive continuous improvement; focus on investing resources effectively and efficiently

• Proven practical livestock experience or an equivalent qualification; ability to practically apply agricultural policy and procedure
• Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to make informed decisions with the use of data and negotiate with others
• Demonstrable experience of working with customers, colleagues, and suppliers to deliver results in a flexible and responsive way
• Full driving license
