Genetic Service Officer

PIC - Philippines, a Genus company, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Genetics Service Officer, a position that is responsible for delivering the genetic program in PIC’s supply chain farms. This dynamic position requires strong technical communication and data analysis skills to support and position PIC product performance within a sophisticated marketplace

• Implement and manage the genetic program in PIC’s supply chain farms.
• Regularly monitor and analyze data from the farm to ensure the genetic program is implemented
• Minimize genetic lag in the farm.
• Communicate PIC’s genetic program effectively to internal and external stakeholders
• Train farm staff on PIC's genetic program and genetic service tools.
• Respond to customers’ questions in a timely manner
• Do routine reporting to genetic services.
• Remain current in area of responsibility through establishing a network of industry and academic contacts, studying literature and attending scientific and industry meetings.

Qualifications: (required)

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Genetics, Biotechnology, Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field.
• Ability to quickly understand new concepts
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong technical presentation skills and has the ability to communicate technical details in a way that can be appreciated by non technical audience
• Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Willingness to travel and work in partners’/customers’ farms
• Speaks English and Filipino fluently
• Work experience in relevant field, minimum of 2 years is strongly preferred 

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong understanding of how to implement a genetic program
• Knowledge and experience in pig production systems
• Experience in processing and analyzing data
