Role Overview

Reporting to the Key Account Director for PIC Russia

 

You will play a key role in the development and the delivery of the PIC Russia strategy.

 

The growth opportunities within the agricultural sector in Russia are currently extremely strong, with especially exciting opportunities within the porcine sector which will allow you to continue to develop market share, build brand awareness and provide products and services that meet and exceed our customers expectations.

You Will

  • Increase customer base, sales volumes and product margins.
  • Develop and maintain account plans for each key account.
  • Able to develop deep customer relationships and become a trusted advisor
  • Make contact with potential clients in PIC target market and present proposals that fulfill their requirements.
  • Proactively identify and satisfy customer needs to maintain and increase current business.
  • To work with Supply Chain in coordinating quarantines and shipments
  • Technical Service focused, set objectives for Production and Technical support visits.
  • Prepare detailed account plans for each customer in accordance with PIC Key Account Management approach.
  • Attendance at industry shows, seminars and exhibitions.
  • Operate within the PIC rule of 3: (1) Protect PIC proprietary property; (2) Maintain or enhance returns for PIC and our stakeholders; and (3) Provide better solutions for our customers

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in selling to the Agricultural sector essential (within the porcine sector an advantage).
  • Good customer base
  • Have excellent negotiation skills, financial acumen and a good mix of relationship, business development and operational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both at farm and Director level.
  • Analytical with clear understanding of the financials associated with growing a profitable business.
  • Wants to roll up their sleeves and get things done, and embrace a flat hierarchy.
  • Able to quickly acquire knowledge of the local bovine market, its economic and cultural climate and local legal requirements relating to the market.
  • Demonstrates resilience and able to retain focus on big picture.
  • Fluent English; spoken and written.
  • Computer literacy particularly with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, e-mail, internet.
  • Self-motivated, dynamic, and hard working.

  • Delivering PIC Russia performance against the budget and strategic plan
  • Operating Profit, market share, volumes
  • Increasing sales operational effectiveness 
  • Increasing brand awareness
  • Development of existing and new profitable relationships
  • Improving communications within Country and across Region, reducing barriers and ensuring improved teamwork, sharing of best practice & experience
