Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced distribution planner to join our team on an 18 month fixed term contract. 

 

You will ensure the efficient planning, coordination, and execution of the distribution of our Liquid Nitrogen and semen products to all our valued customers for approximately 20 drivers. Your role with us will be pivotal in maintaining an optimised supply chain, meeting customer demands, and ensuring cost-effective logistics operations

 

This role is based in our Stapeley office.

You Will

  • Distribution Planning:
    • Develop and execute distribution schedules to meet customer delivery deadlines.
    • Optimize route planning for timely and cost-efficient delivery.
  • Inventory Coordination:
    • Collaborate with warehouse teams to manage inventory levels.
    • Ensure accurate stock levels are maintained to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure distribution activities comply with legal, health, and safety standards.
    • Maintain records for audits and regulatory purposes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Stay up to date on industry trends and logistics technology advancements.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience with route planning software - Ideally route4me
  • Proven experience in distribution planning, logistics, or a similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
