We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the continuous prioritization of the project backlog, ensuring alignment with return on investment and organizational impact. This role collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to capture and organize portfolio themes, business epics, features, and user stories. You are a big-picture innovator and a clear, influential communicator with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

The preferred location for this position is DeForest, WI. Hybrid and remote work will be considered for the right candidate.

You Will

  • Continuously prioritize the Scientific Informatics project backlog based on ROI or organizational impact.

  • Establish and lead backlog grooming sessions with the development and dependent teams to decompose and organize the backlog into well-understood features.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to clearly understand their unique challenges and translate those into actionable backlog items.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager of Data Science and Analytics, the Senior Manager of Data Software Engineering, and the Scientific Informatics Project Manager to conduct release and sprint planning.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure the backlog is expressed in appropriate software tools, keeping it current and ensuring seamless integration across the tools governing GSD projects, in partnership with the Manager of Development and Architecture.
  • Coordinate with the R&D Portfolio Manager to provide accurate and timely information for regular updates to R&D and Genus Leadership.
  • Evaluate and review tools, software, and services from third parties to identify opportunities that could accelerate development efforts.
